Birth of Althea (アルシア誕生 Arushia Tanjō, Funimation: Birth of Alcia) is the 18th episode of Plunderer anime.


Differences in Adaptation

  • After Jail and the others back to present time, the Class A students wondering where did they gone. This wasn't shown in the manga.
  • The narrative about the true purpose of the war from the manga (Chapter 23) were moved to the beginning of this episode instead.
  • The entire sequence of Jail and the others watching the last Nana's video while traveling back to present time was skipped.
  • In the anime, after the war has started, Firenda having a conversation with Schmelman about Rihito's surgery was successful. This doesn't happen in the manga.
  • Unlike in the manga, where it just showed that Rihito bathing together with Nana, the anime showed a lot of scenes about Rihito playing together with Nana.
  • In the manga, when the girls trying to reach Rihito's perverted side, he make a shocked face but he tried to hold back. In the anime, Rihito barely shown any emotion.
  • The scene where Asumi mentioned that she loves Rihito were skipped.
  • In the anime, before Rihito stared to wear his mask, Firenda told him that he must kill all enemies in order to protect Class A and that she will "create" five more Barons to help him. This doesn't happen in the manga.
  • The anime actually showed how Class A students approached the instructors to give them the Baron surgery. In the manga, this scene is happened off-scene.
  • In the anime, when the other 4 Baron's identity was revealed, Nana mentioned Alexandrov by his real name. In the manga, she called him as Captain Alan instead.
  • Nana's dialogue about she doesn't know the identity of the last Baron and that he works on the different mission, the reason why Rihito doesn't want Tokikaze to join the war, and she suspecting the reason why Barons never aged, was all skipped.
  • In the anime, Schmelman stated that he will take all responsibility for everything happened during the war and Althea's creation. This doesn't happen in the manga.
  • In the anime, when Rihito servers Mizuka's arm, the other Class A is also present in the canteen as well.
  • In the manga, after the Special Service was founded, the Class A students started wearing Special Service's uniform. In the anime, they still wearing their school uniform even after the faction has created until sometimes before Althea's creation.
  • All of Nana's videos that was supposed to take place on the previous episodes, were all moved to this episode instead.
    • Although the anime skipped the explanation about the current Ballot Rihito using is actually stolen from a Ballot Holder, and that one of Rihito's regrets was the fact he killed his adoptive brother by his own hands.
  • The anime actually explained that it's Firenda who released Rihito to kill Tokikaze. In the manga, it was implied that it's Schmelman himself made that order on Chapter 50.
  • The scene where Firenda injecting a lot of drugs to Rihito was skipped.
  • In the manga, when Rihito "kills" Tokikaze, Kyouka is showed to be injured and Saki tries to save her. In the anime, she didn't receive any injury.
  • In the anime, after Rihito "killed" Tokikaze, Firenda took the Ballot from Tokikaze. In the manga, it was Rihito himself that holding the Ballot.
